Solar numbers with their sources attached.
HelioAtlas is a solar prospecting and design platform for installers, EPCs and developers. It takes a roof from an address to a signed proposal, and it shows the working behind each figure on the way.
What HelioAtlas is
A quick solar quote needs a roof size and a rule of thumb. A design that a lender will read needs a weather record, roof faces, strings, a tariff and a price, and each of those is a place to be wrong. HelioAtlas exists to close that gap.
In one studio you locate a roof, design it in 3-D, model every hour of the year, price the result and send a proposal the customer signs online. The live card says Estimate until the hourly run finishes and Simulated after it. Edit the design and the old figures are flagged stale, with the cause named.
A solar figure is worth sending only if the reader can find out where it came from.
How we work
We make one product and sell it one way. Every feature is on every plan; plans differ only by seats and designs a month. Access is by request, and billing opens at launch.
The projects and figures on this site come from three example designs: a house in Johannesburg, a warehouse in Cikarang and a barn in Bavaria. They are labelled as examples wherever they appear, and their tariffs and prices are country presets, marked assumed.
Three rules the product keeps.
Each one is a behaviour you can check on screen, not a value on a wall.
Real physics, every hour.
Each roof face is modelled for every hour of a typical year: where the sun is at that hour, the sky, the panel's temperature, the inverter and thirteen named losses. The typical year comes from a 2005 to 2023 weather record, each month anchored to its 19-year mean. P90 sits beside P50 on every energy figure.
Assumptions say assumed.
Where the product has to choose a value, it says so. Roof pitch carries an Assumed chip. Tariffs and prices are country presets, marked assumed and editable. Six of the eight setback rulesets use an assumed 0.30 m, and cable runs are assumed at 30 m DC and 10 m AC. Open any energy figure to see its weather record, the engine version and the uncertainty terms.
Limits published.
We run the engine against two independent references at 13 sites and publish the difference with its range: a measured difference, not an accuracy claim. What the model leaves out is written down too. Shading counts walls, roof planes, racks and the obstacles you draw, not trees or neighbouring buildings.
Every conversation starts on one page.
HelioAtlas publishes no email address, phone number or office address. The start page holds the two ways in.
